MALE VOICE: Anyone who has gone through the ordeal of infertility treatments is inevitably asked why don't you just adopt a baby?

MALE VOICE: Making the decision to adopt is not one made lightly.

MALE VOICE: For a number of reasons adoption may not be the right choice for you.

MALE VOICE: Those who have adopted children will tell you they can't imagine their child being any more a part of themselves or loving the child any more than if they had given birth to the child.

MALE VOICE: The child is their child, not their adopted child. That said, adoption is not the right choice for everyone.

MALE VOICE: If you or your spouse or partner can't get past the need for a biological connection to the child, adoption is not a good choice.

MALE VOICE: Talk with others who have adopted to find out more about the emotions involved.

MALE VOICE: Talk with couples who have made the decision to remain childless so you can begin to look at this decision from a balanced perspective.

MALE VOICE: When you are ready, and you will know when you're ready, only then can you begin the process of seeking out an adoption professional.
