How is the family selected?

If you choose an adoption plan, you realize that someone else will provide your baby with the opportunities, love and security that you can't provide on your own. How is that family selected? At Kirsh and Kirsh, we take extra care to make sure that the perfect family is chosen to love and care for your baby.

Birth Mother has control over the selection process

There are a number of things to say about the selection of the family. The first thing to know about the selection process is that you - the birth mother- have complete control over the selection process. Some women tell us that they just want the best possible family to adopt their baby. Others say, of course, they want the best possible family to adopt their baby and, of course, they trust us, but they want to have a role to play in the selection process.

Just go back to Steve O/C

We listen to the birth mother to find out what type of family she would like to have adopt and then provide her with information about families who have those characteristics. You would have an opportunity to read about the family, talk with them by telephone, or even meet them in person, if you want.

JENNIE: The ultimate factor which just kept me looking at adoption was I wanted a two parent home for my child. I could not provide that.

SARAH: I know I wouldn't have been able to give him everything that he has now. He has a mom who stays home with him. He has a huge extended family who adores him. They go on vacations and trips. He is so smart and I know it is because he has parents who have the time to spend educating him and to spend loving him that way. For me, I would have been working two jobs and he probably would have barely seen me.
